About the school

A school, not a blog

Most forex education is either a sales pitch or a wall of jargon. PipMentor is neither: a fixed curriculum of 25 lessons across 5 belts, taught in the order that makes each idea land, with a quiz at the end of every one.

Why the belt structure

When we tried to learn to trade currencies, almost everything we found fell into one of two camps: slick videos promising a lambo by Friday, or dense textbooks that defined a pip using three other words we did not know either. Neither respected the beginner sitting there genuinely wanting to understand.

So we built the resource we wished we had had, and we built it as a school rather than an archive of articles. The belt structure is not decoration — it enforces order. You cannot usefully learn position sizing before you can read structure, and you cannot read structure before you know what a pip and a lot are. A blog lets you read in any sequence. A curriculum does not, and that constraint is the point.

What we believe

Risk comes first. The most valuable skill we can teach is not how to win but how to lose small and survive. An entire belt — the green — is nothing but the arithmetic of staying alive, and every other belt circles back to it.

Honesty over hype. The large majority of retail traders lose money. We say so plainly, in the footer of every page and inside the lessons, because you deserve to start with clear eyes rather than to discover it with your own capital.

Understanding over shortcuts. We do not sell signals, indicators or a course upgrade. The quizzes exist because recall beats re-reading, and the calculators show their formulas because a number you cannot derive is a number you cannot trust.

How we keep the lights on

  • PipMentor is free to read — no signup, no paywall, no upsell at the black belt.
  • If a lesson mentions a broker and you open an account through a link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • That is the only way we make money, and it never changes what we teach.
  • Your progress, streak and XP are stored in your own browser. We do not have accounts, so we could not track you across devices even if we wanted to.
