Bid
The price at which you can sell the base currency.
The bid is the lower of the two prices in a quote — what the market is willing to buy from you at. It is the price you receive when you sell, whether opening a short or closing a long.
Bid and ask together define the spread. Charts on most platforms are drawn from the bid by default, which is why a long position appears to be filled slightly above the visible candle.
